Now, that move will finally happen following Formula One's Japanese Grand Prix.

I guess it's good Palmer never had any children with the Renault Formula One team, after all. However, everything has been possible because Renault has managed to save economic differences that prevented him from reaching an agreement to finalize Palmer himself, in diamond team three seasons-one of m as third pilot.

The Spaniard, who moves on to Renault for the US Grand Prix in Austin in two weeks, failed to make it past Turn 6 following an ill-inspired attempt to improve his laggard position at the back of the field.

The Scuderia Toro Rosso driver, who crashed during Friday morning's free practice session, finished fifteenth fastest, thanks to using the same set of tyres in the second session that he did in the opening segment, with the decision made to save tyres in order to open up the strategy calls on Sunday.

"First of all I would like to thank Toro Rosso and Red Bull for allowing me the possibility of finishing this season with Renault Sport Racing", he said. "He has shown great personal qualities and we wish him all the best in his future career".

Daniil Kvyat will return to Toro Rosso beside Pierre Gasly for the remaining four races of the season.

"On my side, I will definitely do my very best in tomorrow's race". "I think this chance gives me the opportunity to get to know everyone inside the team, start working with my engineers, try to adapt the auto to myself and myself to the vehicle".

Neir Renault nor Carlos Sainz wanted to wait any longer.

"Toro Rosso is made up of a fantastic group of people and I wish them only the best for the future".

The announcement from Toro Rosso also confirmed Gasly for the USGP, meaning he will not fight for the Super Formula title in Japan despite sitting just half a point behind the leader heading into the season finale.

Gasly and Kvyat are now likely to form Toro Rosso's 2018 driver line-up, although Pascal Wehrlein is considered an outside contender.
