The Rams beat the Cowboys. Jeff Fisher's ghost is exorcised

Offense has been the main difference this season for Los Angeles, and after only averaging 14 points per game in 2016, it's incredible to see how quickly this team has turned things around under new head coach Sean McVay.

The Rams have been tested weekly, however head coach Sean McVay has not only made the environment better for Goff but has simplified the offense, which has paid dividends.

The LA Rams have gotten off to an impressive start in their young season, and will have an opportunity this Sunday to prove to the rest of the doubters on exactly how good they are. The Rams, after Sunday's upset victory at Dallas, are 3-1. "I've heard all about it". Jared Goff looks comfortable and his poise in the pocket is nothing like what we saw a year ago.

Thanks to a new lease on life in rookie head coach in Sean McVay, Pro Bowl-caliber weapons around him in running back Todd Gurley and wide receivers Sammy Watkins and Robert Woods, Goff's name could be included into the rarefied air of top-tier National Football League quarterbacks. "And just being balanced and making those throws". Look for Lawrence to remain a big factor in this game, as the LA offensive line will have their hands full.

"They (offensive line) haven't gotten any credit and it's been mainly them". I thought we battled.

Elliott had 85 yards on 21 carries for his third straight sub-100-yard game, matching the longest such streak from last season. "Tremendous. And he's been tremendous so far this year".

On the play, Frederick appeared to have had a successful pancake block on Rams defensive tackle Tanzel Smart, and Dak Prescott dove into the end zone on a quarterback sneak for what appeared to be an easy 2-point conversion. Both have shown a mutual respect toward each other, despite where both were drafted and their results from season one until now. You know, 2-2 after the first quarter [of the season]; we've got to get better. "He's slinging the ball and he's got some great weapons and he's doing a great job".

The Los Angeles Rams star carved the Cowboys defense and helped erase a double-digit deficit. The two quarterbacks met at the Manning Camp a couple of years ago.

"Everyone knows what Sean brings to the table", Smith said.

My gut tells me this game will feature a lot of scoring, which surely will be entertaining. Hell of a player, hell of a person, leads those guys. "That's what you like about him".

The maturation of Goff is happening on a weekly basis, and some who labeled him a potential bust are dialing back and eating their words now. And it's nice to see them actually succeed in Los Angeles compared to what they had to deal with last season. We've got a lot of getting better to do.

Still, for the Rams to become a viable playoff contender, they need to elevate their play on the big stage against a strong opponent, and they don't come much bigger or stronger than the Cowboys.

And Prescott is already one interception away from last year's total of four after a play that was originally ruled a fumble was changed to a diving pick by linebacker Mark Barron at the Dallas 29. "I think he can do it".

The defenses will feature National Football League sacks leader DeMarcus Lawrence of Dallas (6 1/2 sacks) and one of the most dominant interior rushers in Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald.
