Rams continue strong start to season

Now, you can blame the loss on the disappearing act the offense had in the second half of the game if you want to, or the defenses inability to contain Todd Gurley and the Rams offense. One seemingly obvious rout had to be yesterday's battle between the Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Rams, which, back before we knew any better, clearly looked like it would be a Cowboys' runaway win.

Todd Gurley scored the go-ahead touchdown on a 53-yard catch-and-run, and Greg Zuerlein kicked a career-high seven field goals.

McVay's offense is showing some staying power, with 121 yards rushing and 94 receiving from Gurley and the same kind of balance Dallas showed while going 13-3 for the top seed in the NFC last season.

"Like most great coaches that I've been around", McVay said of Phillips, "there's a way of correcting in a manner that, guys understand it's for the right reasons, and there's a calm demeanor about it so that guys don't feel stressed when you're doing it". But the Cowboys offense bogged down in the second half as the Rams over took them.

He already has three this season through four games, with four rushing touchdowns to pair with it. Prescott also threw one interception - his third of the season. OLB Mark Barron intercepted Dak Prescott in the fourth quarter.

Dallas stormed out to a 17-6 lead, but things changed following a muff by return-man Ryan Switzer.

"We're not going to lose confidence", Prescott said. "We haven't been good on first or second down. We've definitely got to keep moving forward and just get better every week and don't get complacent".

The first three games on their schedule against the Colts, Redskins and 49ers was considered weak by most standards. They got beat by five.

KEYS TO THE GAME: Dallas running back Ezekiel Elliott is averaging just 3.5 yards per carry while dealing with the distraction of his future status due to the court case involving his six-game suspension for a domestic violence incident. With 1:55 left on the clock, Prescott was given the football to lead the Cowboys to a 3-1 record.

Packers' quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, threw for four touchdown passes, with two finding Jordy Nelson for touchdowns. "Once we did that we were solid". Tavon Austin also added 48 yards on six carries.

"It was a lack of me and my accuracy in the second half - just not getting things done", Prescott said.

When the Rams returned to Los Angeles after their exit from St. Louis, they broke a record for the highest attendance for a single National Football League game, which was more than 91,000.

Demarcus Lawrence has suddenly emerged as one of the best pass rushers in the league and last Monday night he nearly single handedly dominated the Arizona Cardinals offensive front, recording three sacks. Both times, Elliott took the ball to his mom in a field-level suite behind the end zone. However, it was called back because of a holding penalty on center Travis Frederick. This will allow Dallas to control time of possession and get Elliott back on track, making him a valuable asset in all fantasy formats this week.

The game was actually tied 18-18 with under five minutes to play in the third quarter when Indianapolis kicker Adam Vinatieri connected on a 40-yard field goal. He had a 44-yarder on the final play of the first half, and the long was from 49.

Seattle has won the NFC West in three of the past four seasons.
