Oakland Raiders: Michael Crabtree doubtful vs Denver

The Raiders should provide the Siemian with the test he needs to prove to Broncos Nation that his game against the Bills was just a fluke.

Win and the Broncos would go into their bye week not only 3-1, but with quality victories against the Dallas Cowboys and Oakland Raiders, who posted 13-3 and 12-4 records last season.

Q: How will Oakland's defense look differently from the last time these two teams met?

Lose and the Broncos would be 2-2 and in trouble as a string of road games await shortly after their bye week. The Broncos rushing attack has been very good. "Obviously, being at home and it being a divisional game, you would think you would up your details and focus". The Raiders are 0-8 when Carr throws at least two interceptions, and 24-16 when he does not. I can hear the talking heads now; Perhaps the Raiders aren't as good as we (or they) thought they were? Oakland couldn't run the ball, but made up for it by throwing interceptions, dropping passes and missing tackles on defense. Green was superb in the first two games, truly shining as a blocker and he'll need to do so again. The Broncos have a strong duo at the wide receiver position in Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders. Quarterback Derek Carr played probably one of the worst games I've seen him play since donning the Silver & Black.

Mack's coming-out party came in Denver in 2015, when he sacked Brock Osweiler five times. But that unit lost tackle Menelik Watson to Denver this season and had problems against Washington last week.

Outside linebacker Von Miller, who helped lead the team's demonstrations last week, said after that game that Trump "assaulted" their freedom of speech, and that "we had to do something". Miller had 2 ½ more sacks than Mack and is a better all-around player.

The Broncos must eliminate turnovers if they are to win today; they have suffered six turnovers in the opening three games, and giving the ball away cheaply always heaps unwanted pressure on the team.

Thus, the individual award went to the best player on the better team.

The AFC West rivalry game will feature two healthy teams.

With Crabtree unlikely to suit up against the Broncos' vaunted pass defense, quarterback Derek Carr will likely pepper Amari Cooper with all the targets he can handle.

The Oakland Raiders have downgraded receiver Michael Crabtree to doubtful for Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos.

In four meetings against the Broncos as teammates, Cooper and Crabtree have averaged a combined 72.3 yards receiving per game with just one TD overall. That's a turnaround from last season when the Broncos were 28th in the league and allowed the Raiders to rush for 218 yards in Oakland.
