Simply detach the Google Home base and attach LOFT, and you've got cord-free mobility at home. The Loft is estimated to get eight hours of battery life; and since Google's product is created to be a speaker, this whole thing makes a bit more sense, as it could let you take the Home into your backyard while you're grilling, or whatever it is people do in backyards.

The new Ninety7 DOX is a portable battery for the 2nd Generation Amazon Echo Dot, created to provide rechargeable, cord-free mobility at home or on-the-go.

The accessory company is aiming to make the virtual assistant toting smart speakers more portable with its Dox battery pack that Echo Dot that can keep the small speaker ticking along for 10 hours away from the mains, while the Loft battery base offers the same function for the Google Home but with only eight hours of electrical juice on offer.

The Ninety7 DOX lets you enjoy portability all the time. It is priced at $39.95 but for a limited time and when you pre-order from ninety7life.com, you can have it for only $29.95. Price wise, the Google Home Mini looks to be an impressive bargain, with DroidLife claiming that the device will retail for just $49, a steep bargain relative to competing products on the market. Maybe it's also the first ever for the Google Assistant-powered speaker and we can expect it will be followed by more from other manufacturers as well. It's covered in a choice of carbon black, snow white, or copper fabric, with metal trim for the base.

DOX has a powerful, rechargeable lithium-ion battery that provides up to 10 unplugged hours+ of use and 4 LED lights on the front of DOX, indicating how much battery life remains before a charge is required. The special fabric is specially sourced from Austria.
