According to police, the woman got out of her auto and slapped the JCO, who was in uniform and was driving an official vehicle, after a minor brush between the two vehicles.

A woman, who was seen slapping and abusing a soldier in a video that went viral recently, was arrested by the Delhi Police on Friday after the Indian Army reported the incident.

According to media reports, the jawan had said that Kalra had "suddenly" stopped the auto and she started hitting him. In his complaint, Mahavir Singh Rathore, the Army Subedar, alleged that the auto was being driven ahead of them by accused Smriti Kalra in a zig-zag manner.

The incident had taken place in Delhi's Vasant Kunj area. The subedar leading the party told police that the woman overtook them near Rajokri flyover and started driving in a zigzag fashion in front of the Army truck.

Subsequently, the driver stopped the truck.

Kalra got off from her auto and continued to hurl abuses. He tried to speak to the woman but she held his collar, slapped him and hurled abuses at him.

On September 9, a woman was caught slapping an Army Jawan on the streets of Delhi. She continues to assault the soldier who doesn't retort and then walks to her vehicle angrily. However, the army subedar had asked his colleague to do a video recording of the incident. Chinmoy Biswal, additional DCP (South), said, "We arrested her from her house in Gurgaon and registered a case against her for assault and preventing public servants from conducting their duty". Subsequently, Kalra was arrested from her house in Gurugram and her vehicle seized.
