Man City already playing like Barcelona - Guardiola

Against no side have Man City faced more times in the Premier League without losing than versus Watford (also six v Sheffield United).

Manchester City, though, are another level of test altogether for the Brazilian, with the Citizens one of the most prolific sides in the league.

Ilkay Gundogan has showered praise on Sergio Aguero following Manchester City's thumping 6-0 win at Watford on Saturday afternoon.

Aguero headed in Kevin de Bruyne's free kick in the 27th minute then tapped in David Silva's cross just four minutes later. Watford felt aggrieved that the offside flag did not deny City their first or third goals. With his performance, Aguero moved to fifth on the list of most Premier League hat-tricks behind a foursome of all-time greats.

And if City and Aguero continue in the same vein it will be extremely hard to keep Pep Guardiola's side from going much further and taking the title. Four of the players mentioned so far are the big reason why this the squad is scoring in droves: Aguero, Jesus, Silva and De Bruyne.

Meanwhile, Raheem Sterling is available after serving his one-match ban last week, and is in contention to make the starting lineup with Guardiola likely to shuffle his pack to keep all his charges fit and firing. This season, they seem to have that system down pat.

For Watford, there was little to be cheerful about, their sub Etienne Capoue really should have scored with a close range header not long after coming on with 20 minutes remaining, but they could have no real complaints about the result.

"All the teams that play in Europe have a lot of games", he said.

Liverpool was let down by its defense for the second time in a week Saturday.

Spaniard Guardiola confirmed he expected a demanding game, especially after just three days and the travelling. "He's able to score a goal at any point".

Liverpool responded in kind three minutes later. Clean sheets are a outcome of you controlling the game.

However, Guardiola's side have found their rhythm since returning from the recent worldwide break, scoring nine goals in a week without conceding any, as they followed up last Saturday's 5-0 thrashing of 10-man Liverpool with a comprehensive 4-0 victory over Feyenoord in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Christian Atsu gave Newcastle the lead in the 18th min as he powered home Matt Ritchie's cross.
