Bitter Celtics Fans Burn Isaiah Thomas' Jersey

In exchange for Irving, the Celtics dealt Isiah Thomas, Ante Zizic, Jae Crowder, and Brooklyn's 2018 first-round pick.

LeBron James took to Twitter on Thursday to express his displeasure with Boston Celtics fans burning their Isaiah Thomas jerseys after Tuesday night's blockbuster trade.

"As of right now, people close to James are fairly confident that, at some point this year, Dwyane Wade is going to end up on the Cavs", Vardon said on "The Wine and Gold Talk Podcast". He joins a Celtics squad that finished first in the Eastern Conference during the regular season last season but was bounced by the Cavaliers in five games the Eastern Conference Finals. If the Cavs can't get past the Celtics - or any other team for that matter - will he stay or seek a title elsewhere?

Cleveland is also getting Crowder who is a solid perimeter defender.

"We are excited to be part of one of the most memorable National Basketball Association offseasons in history with Kyrie, our 2K18 cover athlete, and Isaiah, one of the stars of our 2K roster, trading places", Argent's statement said. The eventual hotshot is crisp off his separation from James, and the split between how those around the group see him - genuine whiz, or a super sidekick who like numerous before he was upgraded by the endowment of playing with LeBron - will be crossed somehow by Irving's opportunity in Boston.

The teams announced the news Tuesday, ending the numerous deal speculations that surrounded Irving since he made the request to be traded.

It's a move the Celtics would've been absolutely insane not to make. As gifted a scorer as Irving is, he has yet to prove he's capable of being the Number One option on a contender team.

Celtics snag top player in Irving, but did they win deal with Cavs?

If the Celtics weren't going to give Thomas a max contract, then it's a no-brainer to acquire an elite point guard who's only 25 years old with two years left on his current contract.

But losing the Net's pick means that Boston has lost their largest trading pick. Whether you Boston fans out there will admit or not, (for this next season) we all know that this trade nearly guarantees a fourth year in a row of a Warriors and Cavaliers NBA Finals.

The NBA star wasn't the only one to defend Thomas.

So yeah, this megatrade revived the offseason for now, but if we look into the near future, does Boston really come out on top?

"We know how popular the Boston Celtics are throughout the area", PawSox executive vice president and general manager Dan Rea said, "and we hope that our fans will enjoy an evening that trumpets Kyrie Irving's arrival".
