Manchester City have been forced to cut their losses on Samir Nasri by allowing the Frenchman to join Antalyspor on a free transfer.

After six long, eventful years at City, the last of which was spent on loan Sevilla, Nasri has moved on by signing a two-year deal with Turkish side Antalyaspor...

The deal is all but done, the 30-year-old is expected to be unveiled as an Antalyaspor player this week.

"Our club has signed a two-year contract with midfielder Samir Nasri in concluding an agreement with Manchester City", said a statement on the official Antalyaspor website.

He wrote: 'A big chapter of my life just came to an end.

"I want thank every single person I worked with during my time at Man City, thank you". And a special thank you to the fans for this awesome support during those years, without you I couldn't have achieved anything, so blessed. Because of you my trophy cabinet has two Premier Leagues, two League Cups and a Community Shield.

Antalyaspor's key player over the past couple seasons has been former Cameroon worldwide striker Samuel Eto'o, who remains at the club despite persistent rumors he is unsettled.
