Google's next-generation Pixel device or Pixel 2, which is codenamed "walleye", has been leaked in a rendered image. It suggests that the company might be in plans to skip some of the common features seen in the flagship smartphones of 2017.

As you can see, the screen Google Pixel 2 lost frames and saved who fashion 16:9 aspect ratio.

A tipster sent us a photo of what's allegedly the Google Pixel 2.

The upcoming Google Pixel 2 was recreated in a couple of high-resolution renders earlier this week. The larger device will be manufactured by LG. According to XDA Developers, the smaller Pixel 2 would measure 4.97-inch while the Pixel XL 2 would sport a 5.99-inch display.

Folks at GSMArena have published a live photo of Google Pixel 2. The Pixel 2 will also keep HTC as its manufacturer.

"VentureBeat can confidently report that, like Apple, HTC, and Lenovo, Google has opted to do away with 3.5-millimeter headphone jacks on its offerings this year", Blass wrote on Venturebeat's website. It will be the first smartphone to run Google's Android O operating system.

Another rumor circulating the internet is that the phones may feature the Snapdragon 836 instead of the 835 that has been on most flagships for this year so far.

The Google Pixel 2 will likely be unveiled in October.

Two price cuts were revealed by the search giant. The Daydream View VR headset is also free with both purchases - just make sure to add it to your cart at checkout. This back panel is a bit different from the original Pixel; the glass pane that dominated the upper half of last year's device is now significantly smaller. This means you can get a smartphone for as low as $524 for the Pixel and $569 for the Pixel XL.
