Tom Brady turns 40 years old today and his wife Gisele Bundchen has written him such a sweet birthday message.

Fans were greeted with goats in a mobile petting zoo at Gillette Stadium, in honor of the GOAT - the greatest quarterback of all time.

"Thanks for being the best second oldest sister in the world", Brady writes.

From a sculpture spelling out "G.O.A.T." that was erected near the entrance of the practice field gate to multiple chants of his name to sporadic "Happy Birthday" serenades from spectators - everything revolved around No. 12 and his 40th birthday. Brady went from a sixth-round pick to an All-Pro and a five-time Super Bowl victor. Joining them were four members of the secondary (Devin McCourty, Patrick Chung, Stephon Gilmore, Malcolm Butler).

"I still think it's going to be a long time from today (when he leaves)", Butler told the Herald.

With his first start of 2017 Brady will become the 20th quarterback in National Football League history to appear in a game at 40 or older. He posted a throwback photo of him and his sister Julie, who happens to have the same birthday.

"He's so much older than the rookies, there's not much they can say", McCourty said.

The Patriots quizzed their younger fans on Brady's age.

Readers and viewers will be able to go behind the scenes with the Patriots as they pull off a miracle against the Falcons-a title that cements both Brady and head coach Bill Belichick among the NFL's all-time greatest quarterbacks and coaches.

'Happy birthday my love!
